The reactions after the game against Toulouse.

A second victory in as many pre-season games for our men in red and black! After beating the Stade Français 40-12 on August 5th, they got the better of the Toulouse team with a 26-19 victory, on Friday, August 12th, at the Mayol stadium.
The Toulon team and staff had plenty to be satisfied with.
Diego Dominguez, RCT manager: “It feels good to win! Also because it was a tough game against the Toulouse players, who wanted to redeem themselves after their last game and played well. There was much physical contact: the official competitions haven’t started yet, but the level is already high. Unfortunately, we lost the ball at some crucial moments and we sometimes struggled to get out of our own half. We’ll have to work on those things, as well as on the scrum and the line-out, in order to improve everything. But, on the whole, I’m satisfied, as some players were playing their first game. Many junior players were on the pitch and it’s a good result. We’re now going to hang on and continue our work.
Pierre Bernard, RCT fly-half: “It was quite a tough game and, as we know it, there are always things to improve in the pre-season games. But winning two games out of two is very reassuring. We managed to keep the ball. Concerning my association with scrum-half Sébastien Tillous-Borde, we had already played together while at Castres and we still have to develop automatic reflexes, as in many other sectors. Now, we’re all going to work hard for the Bayonne game.
Jimmy Yobo, RCT centre: “Last week’s game was the first one for both teams and, this time, it was the second one, as the quality of the game showed. We really played together and found resources to bounce back when we were struggling. On the negative side, we conceded quite a few tries and we’ll have to correct this ahead of the Bayonne game.
Come to Bayonne on Sunday, August 21st, to attend Toulon’s first game of the Top 14 season!
