Raphaël Lakafia: "We delivered"

The Toulon flanker, who turned 29 last Sunday, scored a try against Brive and then answered the questions of the media after Toulon’s 41-24 victory, which also meant one bonus point.
Raphaël, how do you feel after this win?
It wasn’t the most beautiful game, but we were able to handle it. Brive were expecting us at the front and we showed our strength. And, with the quality of the backline, we could make the difference.
You went through another blip – in the latter part of the game, this time…
Perhaps there was a lack of control, but we’re making progress in this domain all the same. I missed the kick-off at the beginning of the second half and they wanted to play pick and go, but we were able to respond and score.
Didn’t you think you could have lost the bonus point?
To tell the truth, we never panicked. There was a positive spirit among the squad, we encouraged one another and that was a good thing, we really enjoyed playing this game. The goal was to bring confidence back into the frontline and we really delivered.
