The declarations ahead of Toulon vs Sale

Here are the main declarations of the Toulon staff and players ahead of the game against Sale, at the Stade Mayol, on Sunday, January 15th, on Day 5 of the European Champions Cup.
Mike Ford, RCT manager: “I’ve known Richard Cockerill for a very long time. I’d been looking for another staff member for three or four weeks. Richard won trophies and he’s going to help us improve our game. You know, you can’t manage a team on your own and it’s good to rely on several competent people. I asked Marc Dal Maso’s opinion before talking to Richard and Marc agreed, because we want to regain our status as the best team in Europe. Concerning Sunday’s game, we know it’s going to be a difficult one and that it’s going to be hard to qualify for the quarter-finals, but we cherish this competition. Next week, we’ll go to London to play against Saracens, the defending champions, and we want the trophy back. Some players are going to leave the club at the end of the season and we’d like to give them a nice farewell present.”
Juan Martin Fenandez Lobbe, RCT flanker: “We enjoyed tremendous moments in this competition and we don’t want to end our run now. I still want to play a European Cup quarter-final. We’re in a very good club with quality players and this compels us to give everything, that’s fundamental Clermont scored 30 points against us and that’s not normal. We have to keep on working and stay humble.”
Jocelino Suta, RCT second row: “After our terrible performance against Clermont, we’ll try to bounce back and use the last game to make up for our drawbacks and keep the ball again. We were ridiculous there and we have to react. Everyone has to question his playing and change his attitude. It’s a collective problem and there has to be a reaction. We’ll stay focused on the Sale game before thinking about Saracens.”
