Anthony Etrillard: "It would be good to continue our current form"

The RCT hooker, who has now started several games in a row – as Guilhem Guirado is playing for France in the Six Nations Championship –, attended the press conference, last Wednesday, ahead of Lyon vs Toulon. He talked about his current form and the upcoming game.
Anthony, you have now turned 25 and you’re a regular member of the team. What do you think of the junior players who come on to the pitch and deliver, as was the case in the game against La Rochelle?
It’s positive. I was one of them, a few years ago. So, I know what it feels. If they play well, it boosts their confidence and it benefits the club. Last week-end, most of them were on the pitch during the later part of the game and they really played their part in the victory. This is important and I hope they’ll have more and more importance within the team.
The team had to wait for a long time before earning a second away victory. Do you feel relieved to have won away from Mayol?
We were often close to winning away but, every time, we lacked something. We made too many mistakes in our efforts to win the games. The same thing happened against La Rochelle but, this time, we did not lag behind at half-time and we could set up our game plan in the second half. The substitutes definitely played a decisive role. Winning away always comes as a reward, especially against a solid team like La Rochelle.
What are your feelings ahead of the game against Lyon? Do you wish to carry on with another away win?
We’re expecting a very physical game and, apparently, the weather conditions will be difficult. When we played against them at the Stade Mayol, they had played many games in a row and it told on the pitch. Now, I think they’ll try to make up for this [Toulon had won 39-11]. We must be very careful, but it would be good for us to deliver there and continue our current form.
